The Shanghai Investment Promotion Conference of the Free Trade Cloud Operation Center of Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area has concluded successfully

On May 15, the Shanghai Investment Promotion Conference was held in the Novotel Atlantis Hotel in Shanghai, China. The conference, co-organized by Cybernaut, Deep Blue eCOM Cross Border Trade (Shanghai ) Co., Ltd and LJML Logistics, was hosted by Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Management Committee and the Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operation Center Co., Ltd. Enterprises that attended the conference included government departments such as Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Customs, Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Revenue Department, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Free Trade Office , as well as other 60 companies or organizations such as AmCham Shanghai, German Chamber of Commerce in China (Shanghai), Spanish Chamber Commerce in China (Shanghai), Bank of America Shanghai, FedEx, CNBC Financial Television, Jones Lang Lasalle, Georgia Ports Authority of the United States, Shanghai Sheng Shang International Trade Co., Ltd, and Shanghai Emi Investment Management Co., Ltd, among others.

Shanghai Investment Promotion Conference Underway

At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Daoguo HE, the general manager of Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operation Center Co., Ltd, delivered a welcome speech. He presented that the F.T.C Co., Ltd would provide high quality services for enterprises to operate in Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area, and play its role as a communication bridge between the enterprises and the government.

Then, Mr. Horace Mak, the Director of Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operation Center Co., Ltd and General Manager of Deep Blue eCOM Cross Border Trade Shanghai Co., Ltd, gave some introduction in detail about the platform and interpreted preferential policies which enterprises that enter Chongqing Free Trade Port Area can benefit from.

Mr. Mak introduced operational models and service functions, explaining that the Chongqing Free Trade Cloud could become a bridge between the enterprises and the government to form a trade environment in which commodities and services mutually correspond. The Chongqing Free Trade Cloud will build a basic platform for key China trade fundamental functions such as China Customs, China Inspection & Quarantine, Foreign Exchange, and Settlement Service of Domestic and Foreign Trade transactions. The Chongqing Free Trade Cloud will also facilitate building ecosystems as well, based on large logistics, finance, and foreign trade. Finally, it will promote the development of a “Headquarters Economy” so that more enterprises can enter the area to achieve industrial upgrading.

Mr. Mak focused on highlighting key financial supporting policies which enterprises entering the Chongqing Free Trade Port Area can leverage. These policies include the VAT subsidies, income tax subsidies, executive income tax incentives, and awards for import and export trade. Furthermore, a 15 percent preferential corporate income tax rate is applicable to enterprises which are within the catalogue of industries encouraged by the development of western China. Forming a strategic alliance among the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area, and the Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operation Center Co., Ltd, these parties will together build a favorable ecosystem circle for international and domestic trade.

There have already been 9 companies that have expressed the intent to cooperate, as the Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operations Center Co. Ltd has done a substantial amount of promotional work prior to the conference. As a result, a signing ceremony is held after Mr. Mak’s speech. Mr. Lin TANG (Director of the Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Management Committee), Mr. Dalun ZHU (Vice-Director of the Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Management Committee), Mr. Zhongyuan MA (Counselor of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government), Mr. Wenzhu SHANG (a strategic partner of Cybernaut as well as the president of the Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operations Center Co. After the signing ceremony, Mr. Dongjiu CUI, the company representative of Shanghai Sheng Shang International Trade Co., Ltd, delivered a speech. He expressed appreciation that the Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Management Committee and other relevant administrative departments for providing favorable policies and creating a good business environment for enterprises’ operations. He gave also expressed gratitude to the Chongqing Liangjiang F.T.C International Trade Operation Center Co., Ltd as the Chongqing F.T.C Platform can ensure that enterprises can quickly establish their business locally in Chongqing without impediments and immediately start trading through the Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area.

Finally, Mr. Lin TANG, the director of Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port Area Management Committee, made some important closing remarks. In the end, Mr. Tang composed an impromptu poem to bring the conference to a successful conclusion.
